IMOSHA — Important Information & Terms

1. About the Healing Arts

Thai Yoga Massage, Toksen, Guasa, and other healing arts have been reported to benefit people through individual experiences and case studies.

However, there is currently no conclusive scientific evidence establishing these practices as proven medical treatments. Many mainstream medical and allied-health organisations consider such practices complementary or outside evidence-based medicine.

By registering for an IMOSHA programme, you acknowledge that these practices go beyond established scientific evidence and may involve personal belief and individual experience.

Please understand this before registering, not afterwards.

2. About the Courses

IMOSHA teachers teach techniques they have learned through their own training and teacher-training programmes.

Different schools and traditions may follow different techniques and approaches. IMOSHA does not claim that its methods are the only authentic or definitive versions of these healing arts.

The courses offered by IMOSHA are based on the teachers’ training and experience. In particular, the IMOSHA curriculum combines what Raghu considers the most valuable aspects of the different courses and traditions he has studied.

While our teachers have completed relevant teacher-training programmes before conducting courses at IMOSHA, we do not claim to represent the only or most authentic approach to these practices.

3. What Your Course Fee Includes

The programme fee covers:

  • Course instruction
  • Practical training and practice sessions
  • Course-related learning activities

Accommodation and food are not included unless specifically mentioned in the programme details.

For programmes such as the Healing Arts Retreat, where accommodation and food are included, the food provided will be what is available at the venue.

While we strive to provide good-quality food, we cannot accommodate every individual dietary preference.

The primary purpose of the programme is learning the healing arts.

4. Fees & Registration

The fee charged for each programme is determined by IMOSHA Foundation for teaching the healing arts. There is no fixed formula used to calculate programme fees.

Early registrants may receive discounts, so fees may vary between students and programmes conducted during the year.

Registration & Payment

  • A 50% deposit is mandatory and non-refundable to confirm your registration.
  • If you are unable to attend during your registered month due to unforeseen circumstances, you may reschedule and complete the course within 6 months from the original registration date.
  • After the 6-month validity period, the fee will be forfeited and will not be transferable or refundable.
  • Payments made through the payment gateway may incur approximately 3% additional charges.
  • Programme fees are determined by IMOSHA Foundation and are not subject to arbitration.

5. Incidental Expenses

Students are responsible for their own incidental expenses, including:

  • Airfare or other travel expenses
  • Airport transfers
  • Local transportation
  • Accommodation and Food, unless specifically included in the programme
  • Any other personal expenses

We are happy to provide information about nearby accommodation and transportation where possible, but IMOSHA is not responsible for arranging or paying for these expenses.

Certification & Post-Certification

IMOSHA is responsible for teaching the concepts and practices of the healing arts. Once certified, the practitioner is responsible for how they apply and represent those practices.

By registering for an IMOSHA programme, you acknowledge and accept this responsibility and agree to indemnify IMOSHA and its representatives against claims arising from your independent practice, representations, or conduct, subject to applicable law.

Before Registering, You Are Expected To:

1. Understand the Healing Arts

Conduct your own research and develop a basic understanding of what the healing arts are, how they are traditionally practised, and why you wish to learn them.

2. Consider Your Physical Health

IMOSHA programmes can be physically demanding and require stamina and endurance.

Please consult your doctor before registering if you have any concerns about your ability to participate.

IMOSHA does not guarantee that every participant will be able to complete the programme or practise the techniques afterwards.

Physical inability to complete the programme cannot be cited as a reason for cancellation or a refund request.

3. Avoid Medical or Miraculous Claims

The understanding that the healing arts are not proven remedies, nor does learning the healing arts make you a miracle worker. If you are going to make tall claims and write stories about how you can heal people, do make sure you do not say that IMOSHA taught you — if you do so, you may be liable for damages to us because it would be defamation and dilution of the IMOSHA brand identity. At IMOSHA, we teach you how to practice the healing arts — and the healing arts help recipients on their journey to convalescence — they are not substitutes, replacements or alternatives to conventional treatments, and any claim as such would be not based on scientific research, and be subject to legislations such as the Wonder Drugs and Magical Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act of 1954 in India, or similar laws in other countries. You are on your own here, and IMOSHA will not be liable if you make such claims.

4. Practise Responsibly

Practitioners are expected to respect the physical and mental wellbeing of everyone they work with.

IMOSHA expects all certified practitioners to behave ethically and responsibly and not bring the organisation into disrepute through their conduct or representations.

Your Behaviour & Conduct

IMOSHA maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards behaviour that harms students, teachers, staff, premises, animals, or the values of IMOSHA and its partner organisations.

Be Nice Treat everyone — and everything — with kindness and consideration.

Students are expected to treat fellow students, teachers, staff, animals, and the premises with care and respect.

Be Respectful

Respect your fellow students, teachers, staff, partner centres, and the local community.

Harassment, unsolicited advances, discrimination, abuse, intimidation, or any form of mistreatment will not be tolerated.

Be Professional

IMOSHA courses bring people from different backgrounds together. Everyone is expected to conduct themselves with maturity, propriety, and respect.

We expect students to maintain appropriate boundaries and behave in a manner befitting a practitioner of the healing arts.

Respect Others

Everyone comes from a different background and has their own beliefs, experiences, and perspectives.

Students are expected to accept these differences and maintain a peaceful and respectful learning environment.

The purpose of the programme is to learn, practise, and understand the healing arts, not to judge or mistreat others.

Respect the Law & Local Customs

Students are expected to follow the laws, rules, and customs applicable at the location where training takes place.

When in Rome, be Roman.

Let us learn together with kindness, awareness, responsibility, and respect — just as the healing arts intend.
